You are not required to take an examination if you do not wish to do so. You may feel that you would like to   refresh your teaching methods and discover new ways of creating a stimulating environment for students' lessons. The material studied is universal in nature and can be used for pedagogy examinations in Canada and abroad.  The RCM Certificate Program however, gives one the opportunity to choose the level of teaching to which he/she  aspires. If a teacher wishes to teach only at the beginner to grade two level, only the first level certificate needs to passed.  If a teacher wants to teach to grade six, examinations at level one and level two must be passed. Finally, the ARCT (Diploma)   level is achieved by completing all levels from one to three.

Class times for all  levels will be arranged after all registrations have been received . Only times and days which suit the students' personal timetables will be scheduled.

The fee per 90-minute lesson is $30. Total payment for the year of 32 lessons is $960.

There is a $35 registration and supplies fee payable upon application (of which $25 is non-refundable should you decide to withdraw after the first month).
Fees are paid to
Susan de Burgh or Dr Michael Redshaw
and may be paid in one lump sum; or divided into two equal payments of $480 payable September 5, 2008 and February 6, 2009; or monthly, using 10 post-dated cheques to Dr Michael Redshaw or Susan de Burgh , the first one dated Sesptember 7  2007 and thereafter for the 1st of each month, each cheque for $96.
